We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced teacher or ECT to join our highly committed, supportive and experienced Science Faculty. Staff morale is high at our school; we have an excellent induction programme and a commitment to professional development for all staff. All teaching staff are provided with a laptop.
All science disciplines will be considered, however the ability to teach chemistry to KS4 is highly desirable and candidates will be expected to teach across the age and ability range. There may be an opportunity to teach A level for a suitably experienced candidate. The sciences are a very popular A level choices and a significant number of our students progress to science-based courses at university.
Our Science Faculty is well resourced with suites of laboratories, preparation rooms and specialist technicians. As a Science Specialist College you will have access to a range of exciting activities and wider STEM initiatives. The successful candidate will want to bring their passion and enthusiasm for science to encourage, motivate and engage our students and continue to raise standards in this high performing faculty.
Our oversubscribed school again achieved a 'GOOD' rating in its Ofsted inspection in June 2022 and we have a commitment to supporting students in developing as well-rounded individuals as well as achieving their academic potential.

We deliver a high quality education in science that challenges and stimulates students. The sciences are popular A Level subjects with many students choosing science-based courses at university. We promote many vocational and enrichment opportunities, including STEM projects (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) to enrich learning experiences.
Specialising in sports since 2004, our sports facilities, teaching expertise and extra-curricular provision are outstanding. Our students enjoy sporting success at district and national level and benefit from an exceptional extra-curricular programme although our ethos is centred on participation for all.
