Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

Salary:
Contract Type: Part-Time - 35 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (Term Time plus 5 days INSET)

Scale: Scale 6 Points 13 to 17

Start Date: September 2025

We are seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our caring and supportive team.

About the Role:

As a HLTA, you will play a vital role in supporting teaching and learning across the school. You will:

· Lead learning activities and cover whole classes in the absence of the teacher.

· Prepare, and deliver lessons in collaboration with teaching staff.

· Provide targeted interventions to support pupils' academic and emotional development.

· Support the assessment of pupils' progress and contribute to their personal development.

· Be a key part of the wider school community, contributing to a positive and inclusive learning environment.

About You:

We are looking for someone who:

· Holds HLTA status or an equivalent qualification.

· Has significant experience working in a primary school setting.

· Demonstrates strong classroom management and communication skills.

· Is committed, flexible, and enthusiastic with a genuine passion for supporting children's learning.

· Works well independently and as part of a team.

· Is fully committed to our Catholic ethos.
