The Christus Catholic Trust are seeking to appoint:
ADMINISTRATION ASSISTANT
Permanent contract
14 hours per week
Wednesday and Thursday, 08:30am until 4.00pm
Term time only plus 2 INSET Training days, as required by the Academy
Salary - Scale 4 (CCT Essex Academies Pay Scale) - Salary Range - Point 7-8 (£26,403 - £26,824 Full Time Equivalent), plus Outer Fringe Allowance (£729) Salary to be pro-rata.
The starting salary will be dependent on experience.
Start date: As soon as possible

We are seeking to appoint a professional, organised and enthusiastic Administration Assistant to join our friendly and busy school.
We require an individual with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills with a positive attitude, in line with our school values, together with the ability to provide an efficient and effective administrative service to senior management and remain calm under pressure. Alongside administrative responsibilities, the role also includes supporting the health and wellbeing of pupils through first aid, medical care, and the origanisation of allergy and medical information. Computer competency is essential in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
● Provide a professional, warm, and welcoming reception to families, visitors, staff and pupils.
● Carry out a wide range of clerical and administrative duties.
● Oversee medical and allergy records, ensuring staff are aware of pupil needs and that procedures are up to date
● Deliver first aid and care to pupils as required (training will be provided if necessary)
● To manage and report on daily school meal bookings, communicating lunch numbers to relevant staff
● Assist with the planning and organisation of school trips and events.
● Manage pupil records and databases (experience of Arbor is desirable).
● Support communication between school, parents, and the wider community.
● Contribute positively to the Catholic ethos and high standards of the school.
The successful applicant will have:
- Experience of working in a busy office environment.
- Strong literacy and numeracy skills (GCSE A-C or equivalent in Maths and English).
- Be confident in the use of Microsoft Office and ICT systems. Knowledge of Arbor would be an advantage but not essential as training will be provided.
- Be friendly, professional, and approachable, even in busy or challenging situations.
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Be confident in handling sensitive medical information with accuracy and care.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Be reliable, confidential, and able to prioritise a varied workload.
- Excellent communication skills.
