We are looking to appoint an HLTA with SEN experience or a TA who is willing to work towards this, to take the lead in our SEN Rainbow provision in the afternoons, when children are engaged in continuous provision. Our Rainbow Class supports 10 children with SEN needs who require a bespoke curriculum. The room is led by our Assistant SENCo who teaches the class in the mornings. There are 4 additional TAs supporting in the room all day. The role can be 8.45am-3.30pm (TA in the morning and HLTA in the afternoon or just the HLTA role 12-3.30pm.)

We are looking to recruit a resilient, flexible and dynamic HLTA who is willing to direct the work of the supporting TAs during the afternoon sessions, ensuring that the children have access to purposeful and educational continuous provision activities. Planning and preparation time will be provided, as well as time to plan alongside the class teacher. This role requires patience, a good sense of humour, a compassionate and loving nature and a desire to see each of our Rainbow pupils thrive.

The hours will be 12.30-3.30pm, Monday to Friday or 8.45am-3.30pm Monday to Friday. This is a term-time only role.

The successful candidate will need:

· Experience of working with SEN children;

· Excellent communication skills;

· To be creative, enthusiastic, energetic and a real team player;

· A clear commitment to the safeguarding of all children.

Some of our roles attract a high level of interest and for this reason, we review applications as they are received. Therefore, on occasions, this means roles may close earlier than advertised so early applications are highly recommended.

Warley Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Applicants for this post must be willing to undergo child protection screening, including reference checks with previous employers and a DBS check with the Disclosure & Barring Service.

All appointments are subject to safer recruitment requirements to ensure the safeguarding of children and young people. All positions will involve appropriate checks and clearances.
