Learning Support Assistants - 3 Posts
Minimum 16 hours per week
Level 3 qualification or apprenticeship opportunity available
We are looking for three caring, enthusiastic and committed Learning Support Assistants to join our school team and help our children to thrive.
At the heart of this role is a simple ambition: we want the very best for every child.
We are looking for people who bring nurture, patience and a relentless focus on helping children achieve their very best. You will work alongside teachers and other colleagues to provide high-quality support for children, helping them to develop academically, socially and emotionally and ensuring they feel safe, valued and ready to learn.
About the role
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will support children within the classroom and wider school environment. This may include working with individuals and small groups, supporting learning activities, helping children overcome barriers to learning and providing the encouragement and reassurance they need to become confident and independent learners.
You will build positive, trusting relationships with children while maintaining high expectations and recognising that every child is unique.
We are looking for someone who:
- is warm, nurturing, patient and compassionate;
- genuinely enjoys working with children and building positive relationships with them;
- has high expectations and a relentless determination to secure the very best outcomes for every child;
- understands that behaviour is a form of communication and can respond calmly, consistently and positively;
- is committed to inclusion and ensuring every child has the opportunity to succeed;
- is a positive and dependable team member who works well with teachers, support staff and families;
- communicates clearly and professionally;
- is adaptable, resilient and willing to learn;
- can use initiative while also following agreed approaches and guidance;
- is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Applicants should hold a relevant Level 3 qualification for working with children.
However, we are also keen to hear from people who have the right values, qualities and potential but do not yet hold the required qualification. For the right candidate, we can offer the opportunity to complete a Level 3 apprenticeship, combining employment within our school with training and professional development.
What we can offer
You will be joining a supportive school community where children are at the centre of the decisions we make. We will offer you opportunities to develop your skills and knowledge, work alongside experienced colleagues and make a genuine difference to children's lives.
Whether you are an experienced Learning Support Assistant or someone looking to build a career working with children through an apprenticeship route, we would be delighted to hear from you.
Above all, we are looking for people who will care about our children, believe in them and never stop looking for ways to help them succeed.
We warmly encourage prospective applicants to visit our school and meet our team.
