Learning Support Assistant
Essex Schools Pay Scale 3/4
Point 5-8, depending on experience
Required: December 2025
27.5 hours per week, 5 days
Manuden is a small, friendly and caring village school with some amazing outdoor learning facilities including an outdoor classroom, sensory garden and a gym trail.
We are looking to appoint an experienced Learning Support Assistant to work 1:1 with a child in KS2 in the mornings and be a classroom LSA in the afternoons. You'll need to be able to build trusting relationships with our learners to help them manage the learning challenges of the day - but you won't be on your own - you'll have all the support you need from the rest of the team.
Day to Day you will:
· be involved with interventions within the classroom to support Quality First teaching
· work one to one with pupils to ensure that they're getting the most out of what's being taught in the classroom
Candidates should have:
· A good educational background including at least GCSE Grade C or above in English and Mathematics and ideally, NVQ Level 2 Supporting Children in Education
· Experience of withing with KS2 children in an educational setting
You should also be prepared to work in partnership with the class teacher, taking direction while also using your own initiative and be firm, kind, patient, consistent, flexible and approachable. The successful candidate will be required to work five full days.
