Learning Support Assistant
17.5 hours per week
Fixed term contract from September 2025 - July 2026
Scale 3, Points 5-6 (£24,790-£25,183 pa pro-rata)
38 weeks per year (term time only)
Start date 1st September 2025

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our team and make a real difference in the lives of our students. This is a one-year, fixed term contract only.
The Role:
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with students with in a Key Stage 1 classroom. group support, helping pupils to access the curriculum, build confidence, and develop independence.
Key Responsibilities:
· Assist in the planning and delivery of learning activities
· Promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment
· Provide feedback to teachers and contribute to student progress reports
· Foster students' personal, social, and emotional development
Work with individual pupils and small groups to support their learning and development
Assist in the implementation of One Plans and support pupils with special educational needs
Help manage classroom behaviour and promote positive attitudes to learning
Support pupils in developing effective social interactions and emotional regulation
Prepare resources and materials for lessons as directed by the class teacher
Supervise pupils during break times as required
Assist with record keeping, observations and the assessment of pupils' progress
Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and external professionals
About You:
· Experience of working with children or young people in an educational setting (desirable but not essential)
· Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills
· A proactive and flexible approach to supporting learning
· Knowledge of SEN strategies and interventions (desirable but not essential)
