Some roles ask you to support a Headteacher. This one offers the opportunity to shape the future of a new school.

At The Wolsey Park School, a brand-new specialist provision for children and young people with severe learning difficulties (SLD) and profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), we are looking for an exceptional Personal Assistant to the Headteacher to join us at the very beginning of our journey.

This is a unique opportunity for a highly organised, proactive and resourceful professional to play a pivotal role in establishing a new school, working closely with the Headteacher and leadership team to create a place where children and their families belong and thrive.

We are looking for someone who can bring calmness, efficiency and a positive, solution-focused approach to a busy and varied role. You will provide high-quality, confidential administrative and organisational support to the Headteacher, helping to manage competing priorities, coordinate meetings and communications, support recruitment and personnel processes, and ensure the smooth running of key aspects of school administration and governance.

As a founding member of staff, you will have the exciting opportunity to help establish the systems, processes and ways of working that will underpin our school as it grows. No two days are likely to be the same, so adaptability, initiative, resilience and a good sense of humour will be essential!

You will be someone who:

  • Has excellent organisational skills, with meticulous attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Is a confident and effective communicator, able to build positive relationships with staff, families, governors and external professionals.
  • Demonstrates professionalism, discretion and absolute integrity when handling sensitive and confidential information.
  • Has strong administrative and IT skills, with experience of supporting senior leaders and coordinating complex administrative processes.
  • Is proactive, adaptable and solution-focused, with the confidence to work independently and use their initiative.
  • Understands the importance of safeguarding, inclusion and the wellbeing of children and young people with complex needs.
  • Shares our values of dignity, collaboration, positivity and aspiration, and wants to contribute to creating a truly exceptional school.
  • Experience of working in a school environment, particularly in a senior administrative or PA role, would be valuable. Above all, we are looking for someone who shares our vision, takes pride in their work and recognises the importance of their contribution to the wider school community.

The Wolsey Park School will grow rapidly over the coming years, and our founding team will play a vital part in shaping its culture and identity. We want to create a working environment where staff feel valued, supported and empowered, and where collaboration and kindness sit alongside high expectations and professional excellence.

Safeguarding our learners will be our highest priority. We will be relentless in our pursuit of a physically safe and emotionally secure environment, with proactive safeguarding practices that recognise the additional vulnerabilities and communication needs of our learners. Every member of our team will have an important role to play in this commitment

We can offer you:

  • The opportunity to be part of the founding team of a brand-new specialist school.
  • The chance to work closely with the Headteacher and help shape the school's administrative systems and culture.
  • A supportive, collaborative and welcoming working environment.
  • Excellent continuing professional development opportunities.
  • Opportunities for career development within Zenith Multi Academy Trust.
  • A wide range of employee benefits and wellbeing initiatives.

Informal conversations with the Headteacher are warmly welcomed. Please contact Cheryl Allard, Headteacher Designate, at cheryla@zmat.co.uk to arrange a conversation.
