About Us: St Luke's Chapel is a brand new nursery, which opened in September 2025. Due to increasing numbers, we are now growing our team in 2026.

You will be part of a new team to provide nurturing care and development to children based in each room, whilst building positive and effective partnerships with parents, local authorities and services, and all staff within the nursery setting.

Nursery Practitioners 40 Hours per a Week
Job Description
We are looking for passionate Nursery Practitioner's, who
Key Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Support's the Canopy Curriculum to ensure a child-centred approach, and ensure the observation and planning process meets the needs of all children.
- Be a key-person for a group of your own key children, and build strong parent partnerships.
- Keeping records up to date on our Famly App, and completing quality observations and assessments.
- Plan and deliver a range of exciting activities and experiences for children.
- To maintain an organised, safe and stimulating room environment.
- Ensure effective supervision of children to ensure they remain safe, and complete ongoing risk assessments, ensuring play and learning experiences are safe and age appropriate.
- Fulfil your roles and responsibilities, and legislation duty in relation to safeguarding children by ensuring you follow safeguarding and child protection procedures
- Have a clear understanding of and adhere to all policies and procedures, and follow legislations from governing bodies.
- Working as part of a larger team to ensure all essential day to day tasks are completed in line with the nursery demands, ie. Hygiene Standards and Room Preparation.
- Implement and maintain the nursery's Equality Policy, ensuring that all children, parents and staff team are valued and included.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A full and relevant Level 3 childcare or Early Years Qualification (We may consider candidates with a full and relevant level 2 Childcare & Early Years Qualification
-Experience of working with children aged 0-5 years
- Knowledge of safeguarding practices and regulatory requirements.
- Able to communicate clearly with adults and children
- Ability to support and inspire nursery colleagues to achieve the highest standards of care and education
- Ability to manage workload and manage time effectively
Hours:
Various shifts depending on nursery needs.
Shifts will be within the hours of 7:15am and 6:45pm, Monday to Friday.
