Position: Full-Time Apprentice
Hours: 30 hours per week
Salary: Apprenticeship wage (in line with government guidance)
Start Date: September 2025

We are a nurturing and growing nursery in Writtle, providing high-quality early years care and education for children aged 2 to 4 years. We are looking for a friendly, motivated, and caring Nursery Apprentice to join our team and train towards a Level 2/3 Early Years qualification.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Supporting the daily routines of the nursery, including playtime, mealtimes, and rest periods
- Assisting in the delivery of the EYFS curriculum through engaging, age-appropriate activities
- Building positive relationships with children, families, and the team
- Observing and recording children's development with support from your mentor
- Helping to create a safe, clean, and stimulating environment
What We're Looking For:
- A genuine interest in working with children aged 2-4
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Reliable, punctual, and a team player
- No prior experience or qualifications necessary - just a passion for early years education.
- Commitment to completing an apprenticeship and gaining a recognised childcare qualification

Information about the School
We are a term time only Nursery for children aged 2-4 years plus breakfast and after school club for Writtle Infant and Junior Schools. We are dedicated to safeguarding the children and families in our care as a top priority. Any applicant wishing to join our enthusiastic and dedicated team will need to complete an enhanced DBS check once the position has been accepted. Because we believe that all children deserve an equal chance to succeed, we are committed to safer recruitment practises to ensure we find the very best people to work with the children.
Located on the site of Writtle Infant School, we have strong links with the Infant and Junior community and they in turn use our breakfast and after school club. We are passionate about outside learning and have dedicated much time and effort on creating a fabulous enabling environment for children's play. We care deeply about our close-knit staff team and offer opportunities for training and development to enable them to progress. Our passion is to give the children in our care the very best start to their education that forms a firm foundation for them to achieve their full potential throughout their lives.
