JOB VACANCY FOR A FULL TIME LEARNING SUPPORT ASSISTANT at Barling Magna Primary Academy
Fixed term band 3 (Essex Schools Pay Scale April 2026)
27.5 hours per week Mon to Fri 8:30-12:00, 1:00-3:00 Term time only
We would like to appoint a hard-working and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join our friendly team at The Brickfields Trust working at Barling Magna Primary Academy. You would provide support for pupils of all abilities within the primary classroom. Prior experience is desirable but not essential.
We are looking for someone with:
• Previous experience of working with pupils with Special Educational Needs
• GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths (C grade or higher)
• An understanding of how Primary aged children learn
• Enthusiasm and an ability to make learning fun
• A flexible approach and a 'can do' attitude
• Good communication skills
• A desire to make a positive difference
• A structured, organised approach to learning
• Effective questioning skills
• A proactive and flexible approach
