Colchester Academy is a mixed, comprehensive, non-denominational secondary school situated in Colchester, Essex. Colchester Academy first opened in September 2010 and boasts a state of the art building with modern design and a wealth of technology. We are part of a small local Academy Chain, Penrose Learning Trust. Our core purpose is "To be the change for those who need it most", with our mission being "Striving for excellence; ensuring equity". This translates into the values of "Resilience; Excellence; Respect", these we live - everyday. We challenge students academically as well as providing a range of opportunities for them to receive a well-rounded learning experience.
