Lift New Rickstones is a co-educational 11–19 comprehensive school and proud member of Lift Schools. We currently have around 135 dedicated staff supporting our students.
Our facilities are modern and state-of-the-art, providing a first-class learning and working environment. The main building opened in 2012, and a new two-storey building was added in September 2022 to accommodate our rapid growth in popularity and student numbers. This success is reflected in our increased published admission number (PAN), which rose from 180 to 240 in September 2022.
We are a dynamic school where students of all abilities achieve. We are committed to creating a safe, supportive and nurturing community where every young person can reach their full potential.

Our Curriculum
Our curriculum is built around three key drivers: Mastery, Character and Perspective. These provide a framework for excellent learning, personal growth, and pride in being part of our community.
Mastery: Students develop their thinking from basic understanding to true expertise. They learn to think creatively, apply their skills fluently in any context, and demonstrate ambition and commitment to their learning.
Character: We expect more than academic success. Our students grow to be confident, resilient and principled — always striving to do the right thing, even when no one is watching.
Perspective: Life beyond the classroom is a vital part of our offer. Through trips, extracurricular activities and enrichment, students broaden their horizons, gain cultural and social awareness, and create memories that last a lifetime.

Our responsibility is to build on our achievements and prepare every young person for the challenges and opportunities of life in the 21st century.
