The Deanes is a smaller than average 11–16 comprehensive academy in Thundersley, Essex. Our size is one of our strengths: students are known well, relationships are strong and staff are able to make a real difference.
We are a school with high expectations and a clear determination that every student succeeds. Our culture encourages students to work hard, aim high and make the most of every opportunity.
Our curriculum is broad and ambitious. It is carefully sequenced to help students build secure knowledge, think deeply and apply their learning with increasing confidence and independence.
