Experienced Level 3 or above in Early Years Education person required for Deputy Manager role at a lovely, small Kindergarten based in the countryside of Childerditch, Essex (CM13 3DZ).
Hours: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 8:30am-3:30pm; Tuesday/Friday 8:30am-12:30pm during school term time only.
Role Requirements:
- To assist the Kindergarten Manager in providing a safe, stimulating and caring child-centred environment.
- Taking an active role in activity planning and preparation.
- Monitoring and record keeping of each area with the Kindergarten including planning, assessment and tracking of progress against developmental milestones.
- Ability to communicate well with parents.

Starting date: September 2025
Purpose of the job:
• To contribute to the provision of a safe, high-quality education and care for pre-school children
• To fulfil legal and statutory requirements
• To lead a team on a day-to-day basis
• To contribute and implement pre-school policies
• To deputise and take the appropriate level of responsibilities in the absence of the Manager

Person specification:
• Recognised Level 3 or above qualification in working with young children.
• Sound understanding of child development and children's individual needs.
• Ability to plan and implement a pre-school curriculum.
• Commitment and understanding of diversity and equality.
• Ability to work as an effective team member and own initiative.
• SEND experience would be an advantage
• Recognised and valued Safeguarding qualification at level 3
• Satisfactory enhanced DBS check which confirms suitability to work with children.

• Good communication skills.
• Able to develop strong relationships and promote positive parental involvement.
• Have high expectations of yourself and of the children in your care.
• Assisting setting up and clearing away all activities and equipment when appropriate.
• Hours: Monday, Wednesday & Thursday 8.30- 3.30
• Tuesday £ Friday 8.30 -13.00
