Vacancy for an Admissions and Administration Assistant

Scale 3 within the range of points 5 to 6 (FTE £23,500 - £23,893)

Actual annual salary £8,712 - £8,858

Working hours - 16 hours per week 08:00am to 12:00pm and 12:30pm to 16:30pm Tuesdays and Thursdays during 38 weeks of term time and non-pupil days.

We are looking for a friendly and efficient person to join us in our school office to be responsible for admissions and the monitoring of attendance.

The role involves:

· Managing the admissions for the school, maintaining the admissions waiting list, updating and maintaining the school's pupil data and preparing appeal paperwork;

· Monitoring pupil attendance and preparing attendance letters to parents;

· Providing medical and welfare support to pupils, including the administration of first aid;

· Supporting the receptionist and offering cover for the front desk, including monitoring emails, answering the phone, daily attendance and dinner numbers for the kitchen;

· Providing general administration support.

Experience of working in a busy school office environment would be helpful, particularly experience managing admissions, together with the ability to communicate clearly and sensitively with pupils and parents and to manage competing priorities.
