Are you ready to take on a key leadership role? Are you looking for a new and exciting challenge? Are you excited to make a real difference to children's lives and learning? We are looking to recruit a Key Stage 1 and Phonics Lead to join our friendly and supportive staff team.

We are a specialist Speech and Language School with an enhanced provision which is part of the Local SEND Offer. We work alongside on-site Speech Therapists and develop staff in class speech and language resources and provision to meet the needs of the children that are part of our Language Hub.
We are currently a one and half from entry school located in Chelmsford city centre. We are an established school with a strong community, a dedicated team, and an inclusive ethos. We have an exciting expansion project underway whereby we will be growing to become a two-form entry school and are excited to have new facilities built on site.
We have skilled facilitators in the NPQ programmes and are committed to developing you as a leader, which could be as part of one of these programmes, in collaboration with our Teaching School links.
Are you:
· An outstanding practitioner that aspires to lead
· A proven impact of raising standards in KS1
· Experienced in teaching and/or leading in KS1, particularly with phonics
· Able to demonstrate a deep understanding of the Year 2 Curriculum and statutory requirements for KS1
· A creative teacher, dedicate to providing exciting, practical learning opportunities for children to aid memory, understanding, skills and knowledge
· Someone who has high expectations of all children to be successful
· Committed to the inclusive learning of all young people with a trauma perceptive approach to supporting pupils
· A team player, who can work as part of, and lead, a supportive and encouraging staff team
· Dedicated to lifelong learning and professional development of yourself and others
