Post: - Teaching Assistant
Hours: - 32.5 hours per week (Term time plus inset days)
Salary -Scale 3
We are looking for a Teaching Assistant to join our loving, supportive family to support with our school catch up programme, leading small groups as well as working one to one with children for whom English is an additional language.
Candidates should have:
Good literacy and numeracy skills
Good organisational skills
Experience working with children with high levels of need
Ability to build effective working relationships with pupils and adults
Skills and expertise in understanding the needs of all pupils
Knowledge of how to help adapt and deliver support to meet individual needs
Subject and curriculum knowledge relevant to the role, and ability to apply this effectively in supporting teachers and pupils
Excellent verbal communication skills
Active listening skills
The ability to remain calm at all times
Knowledge of guidance and requirements around safeguarding children and a commitment to ongoing training in this area
Good ICT skills, particularly using ICT to support learning
Understanding of roles and responsibilities within the classroom and whole school structures.
