An exciting opportunity has arisen to work within The Reach Group/Reach Essex, supporting pupils as an experienced Mentor in need of additional support to reach their full potential.
Reach Essex is currently looking to recruit an additional member of staff to work with a group of identified young people aged 11 - 17. The position is full time, (09:00am - 17.00pm) to start as soon as possible.
The ideal candidate for this role will have previous experience in the areas of youth work, support work or with pupils with additional needs or presenting with difficult and challenging behaviours.
The incoming Youth Worker/Mentor can expect to support the students to develop skills and engage socially with others ensuring learning, pastoral and Behavioural Targets are met alongside their Educational Plan. The successful candidate requires confidence, patience, and skill to successfully work with these children and make a positive impact on their lives.
We are looking for motivated professionals who will strive to always meet each young person's individual needs.
We are looking for:
* Previous experience working with special needs in children
* Calm, positive personality, you would also need to familiar with company values and guiding principles which we adhere to at The Reach Group.
*You will also be required to demonstrate that you have the required skills and knowledge to meet the needs of students/children
To join us and be considered for this Youth Worker role in and you must:
* Have experience working with children aged 11-17
* Hold level 3 qualification or above
* Have the legal right to work in the UK
* Hold a full enhanced DBS on the update service or be prepared to undertake a new disclosure.
Holds a full UK driving licence with business insurance or prepared to have business insurance added.
Contract is term-time only, actual salary is pro-rota.

Extension training is provided to all staff. REACH are committed to professional development and will devise a bespoke CPD offer to enable individuals to reach their full potential.
