SEND Learning Support Assistant (LSA) x 2 (Fixed term contract, reviewed termly)
Hours of work=16 hours 15 minutes per week
Hours for position one - 8:45 to 12:00 Monday to Friday
Hours for position two - 12:00 - 15:15 Monday to Friday
Salary range - Actual Salary £7,285.40 including fringe allowance (Full time equivalent £19,524 including fringe allowance)
Applicants must have achievedGrade C or above in English and Maths.
Briscoe Primary School have an exciting opportunity for two Learning Support Assistants to join their friendly and supportive team. The positions will focus on providing support to children with SEND, therefore applicants are expected to have experience of working with children with SEND.

The successful applicant will:
- Work with individuals or small groups of children with SEND under the direction of teaching staff;
- Implement planned learning activities / teaching programmes as agreed with colleagues, adjusting activities according to pupil's response;
- Support pupils with literacy and numeracy skills
- Promote the inclusion of children with SEND both within the classroom and during non-class based learning, ensuring access to learning through appropriate clarification, explanation and resources;
- Monitor and record pupil activities
- Help children with social, welfare and health matters, including minor first aid and administration of medication
Please note these positions are offered as fixed term contracts, which will be reviewed on a termly basis.
