                 The Nursery Rooms is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and experienced cook to provide nutritionally balanced, freshly prepared, high-quality meals for children. The role is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday- all year round. Hours may vary but will be between the hours of 8am-5pm.
 Duties include:
 · Working unsupervised and taking responsibility for the day to day running of the kitchen
 · Preparing meals and snacks for the children in the nursery
 · Catering for special dietary needs
 · Maintaining and ordering stock whilst working within required budgets
 · Keeping a safe, clean and tidy environment in line with food standards
 · Agreeing seasonal menus with managers
 · Meeting standards set by Environmental Health Food Safety and Health and Safety regulations including keeping accurate and relevant records.
 The successful candidate will have:
 · Previous experience of working in a similar environment is beneficial
 · Level 2 food hygiene certificate
 · NVQ Level 2 in Catering (Desirable)
 · Experience of liaising with Environmental Health
 · Knowledge of health and safety in the workplace
 · Understanding of welfare and safeguarding procedures
 · Excellent communication skills
