Hourly rate: £9.81 (£10.99 including holiday pay) - £10.01 (£11.21 including holiday pay)

Kents Hill Infant Academy are delighted to announce the opening of a Nursery in January 2022. We are looking to appoint friendly, warm and caring Nursery Assistants to establish a Nursery team that provides outstanding nursery provision.

Initially we are looking to employ 3 Nursery Assistants on a casual 'as and when' basis. As the interest in this new Nursery provision is high we expect to offer successful candidates fixed term contracts linked to funding during the spring term once take up numbers are confirmed.

The Nursery assistants will work in partnership with the Nursery manager to support children in line with codes of practice and school policies and procedures.

The nursery will run morning and afternoon sessions, they will be 8:45am-11:45am and 12:15-3:15pm with a lunch club between 11:45-12:15, Monday to Friday and term time only.

  • Are committed in assisting and implementing effective planning of the EYFS; carry out assessment techniques and deliver a variety of structured and non-structured activities that will stimulate the children's interests and enhance their learning.
  • Have a positive and enthusiastic attitude.
  • Are passionate about working as an effective team worker, developing good relationships with other staff, parents and children.
  • Have a thorough knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework and experience of working with young children within a nursery or school setting.
  • Ability to support students with early literacy and numeracy.
  • Have excellent communication skills.
  • Have good organisational and interpersonal skills.
  • Have the ability to work independently on your own initiative and manage own time effectively.
