Part-Time Teaching Assistant
New Essex Pay Scale 3
Point 4-5, depending on experience
Required: January 2022
17.5 hours per week, Mornings only
Manuden is a small, friendly and caring village school with some amazing outdoor learning facilities including an outdoor classroom, sensory garden and a gym trail.
We are looking to appoint an experienced Teaching Assistant to work in our mixed Year 3 & Year 4 class. You'll need to be able to build trusting relationships with our learners to help them manage the learning challenges of the day - but you won't be on your own - you'll have all the support you need from the rest of the team.
Day to Day you will:
· be involved with interventions within the classroom to support our Quality First teaching
· work one-to-one with pupils to ensure that they're getting the most of out what's being taught in the classroom
Candidates should have:
· A good educational background including at least GCSE grade C or above in English and Mathematics and ideally, NVQ Level 2 Supporting Children in Education
· Experience of working with KS2 children in an educational setting
You should be prepared to work in partnership with the class teachers and other members of the team, taking direction while also using your own initiative and be firm, kind, patient, consistent, flexible and approachable with the children.
