Job Description

We are looking for exceptional individuals to join our superb team of teaching assistants. We are looking to appoint caring and ideally experienced teaching assistants to work with children in our Junior school.

We have two posts available. Please note that these can be combined to make a full-time post. Please indicate on the application form which post(s) you are interested in.

Post 1- Key Stage Two Teaching Assistant

Start: as soon as possible.
Salary: Scale 3 £18,933 - £19,312 FTE pro rata for hours worked
39 weeks per year (term time plus INSET days)
Fixed term contract until July 2021
Part-time role 8.30-12.30 Monday to Friday

This post may suit a teacher wishing to reduce hours/responsibility, whilst still having a positive impact on children's learning

Post 2- Key Stage Two 1:1 Learning Support Assistant

This post will involve supporting the learning of a child with additional needs in a KS2 class

Information about the School

R A Butler Academy is a vibrant school located in the heart of the market town of Saffron Walden and a core school of the Saffron Academy Trust. Although technically two schools, Infant and Junior, we work as one and are led by one Headteacher. We have 90 children in each year group with a capacity of 630. Our site is spacious and well-resourced. Staff are well supported and the school is committed to career development.
