Job Description

We have a vacancy for a self-motivated, enthusiastic, conscientious and skilled person to join our busy School Team. The successful candidate would be someone able to provide a key role in maintaining our school site, to ensure a welcoming and safe environment for the whole school community.

The successful applicant will need to have a wide variety of practical skills, and good awareness of health and safety standards and procedures. Duties will include (but are not limited to) routine premises maintenance, cleaning, DIY, building security, general site management which will also include ensuring that the site is clean and litter free and the need to work additional hours as the school operation requires. The successful candidate will need to carry out and record statutory checks and help maintain Health and Safety records They will also need to carry out maintenance and minor repairs, including liaising with contractors and providing access to the site for visitors and contractors outside of school hours.

The post requires the successful candidate to be physically fit, pleasant, and approachable, willing to undertake relevant training, be a good team player but also be able to use their own initiative. Previous experience would be an advantage, but full training will be given; ongoing professional development training will be available for the successful candidate.

This is a part-time post for 41 weeks a year, 10 hours a week.

All posts are remunerated on the schools pay range scale point 3/4 - £18,933 to £19,312.00 pro rata (with additional hours as and when needed)
