Full time, permanent
Directed hours: Mondays 8.15 - 5.30, Tuesdays to Fridays 8.15 - 4.30
RequiredJanuary 2021
We are looking for a positive, flexible, compassionate person to join our friendly team at Clarity Independent School, which opened in September 2019. We cater for 12 pupils with SEN. We have exciting opportunities for an applicant who wishes to design and deliver a tailor-made SENcurriculum for small groups of children, overseeing a class and supervising HLTAs.
You will be responsible for a class / key group of 4-6 children and will teach Key Stage 2-4 in small groups or on a one to one basis (along with other lessons as required). Lessons will be at the school, and activities will be in and around the local area. We use specialist support teams for extra-curricular activities and you will be required to transport and accompany children to and from these, supervising throughout. Ownership and use of a car full time, as well as a full driving license, is therefore essential.
The successful applicants will need to have substantial recent experience teaching pupils with SEN, along with substantial experience teaching up to the end of Key Stage 4 and the level of foundation GCSE in at least one subject.
This is a great opportunity to develop skills in working with SEN pupils in a small, nurturing special school setting. A commitment to working as part of a team, being teachable, teaching / supporting others and to developing your own skills is essential.
If you would like a tour, please contact Jenny, our office manager to arrange.
Applications will be screened as soon as they are madeand may be contacted sooner than the closing date to allow for notice periods; therefore, early applications are most welcome.
