We wish to appoint an inspirational professional with a proven track record of SEND delivery to join our team. The role will be working with students with additional educational needs, raising achievement and supporting good practice throughout the school under the leadership of the Vice Principal. The successful applicant is likely to have a secondary background, be an excellent classroom practitioner and have the ability to teach numeracy, literacy and social skills in a creative and innovative way.
The role will include:
Ensuring that all SEND students have adequate provision and make good progress
Advising & training staff on SEND strategies to support students in the classroom
Liaising with feeder primary schools to identify & ensure early provision
Leading, developing and delivering our Nurture programme for the less able in Year 7
Line-management and deployment of LSAs/HLTAs
Multi-agency liaison including PRU
Child Protection Officer or second named person
