Site Manager - Start April 2020
We are looking to appoint an honest, reliable, hardworking and self-motivated Site Manager. Experience in this type of role is desirable.
Local Government Payscale 2020 Scale 6, £21,589 to £23,836 depending on experience.
37 hours a week 7.30am to 4pm Mon - Thu and 7.30am to 3.30pm Fri with 1 hour for lunch.
52 weeks per year with 23 days holiday to be taken during school closure periods.
The successful candidate will also be required to cover on site lettings evenings and weekends with additional pay. There will also be the opportunity for overtime if undertaking DIY projects which cannot be undertaken during school hours.
The ideal candidate will have the following qualities:
· Friendly, approachable and a team player
· A good communicator
· Self-motivated, organised and able to manage own workload and innovative
· Familiar with health and safety regulations and procedures and COSHH requirements, or willing to undertake training
· Able to take pride in the appearance and condition of our school, both internally and externally
· Flexible and adaptable
· Able and prepared to work some unsociable hours (including alarm call-outs)
· Knowledgeable with high level handy-person/DIY skills and the ability to carry out general repairs and jobs competently
· Willing to undertake swimming pool management training
· Able to form professional relationships with staff, parents and of course our children.
The following are desirable but not essential as training can be given
· Asbestos training certificate
· Health and safety trained including Asbestos management, Legionella management, Manual handling, Risk assessment, Working at height, Ladder inspection and use, CoSHH and premises issues
· Fire safety training certificate
· PAT testing trained
Among other duties the successful candidate will undertake:
· General maintenance of school buildings and grounds
· Ensuring Health and Safety compliance
· Responsibility for the security of the buildings and site as the main key holder
· Supervision and line management of the cleaning team
· Decorating
· Furniture removal
· School plant operation
· Liaising with external contractors to obtain quotes and organise service visits etc.

Riverside Primary School, situated 500m from the River Crouch, opened in September 2010 when the Infant and Junior schools amalgamated. We are very proud to be an integral part of the village of Hullbridge, building and enjoying strong links with other schools, local businesses and members of our local community.
