Salary:£13,488 (32.5 hours per week, term-time only)
An opportunity has arisen to join the small team operating the modern and popular Sixth Form Cafe at Westcliff High School for Boys.
Working alongside the Catering Manager, the Catering Assistant is responsible for preparing a range of food and drinks for purchase by Sixth Form students, as well as for serving those students and general tasks such as cleaning and cashing up.
This post will suit someone with good communication skills, a friendly demeanour, and someone who is willing to help create a good environment for students to study in.
A relevant Food Hygiene certificate would be beneficial but is not essential as training can be provided.
The standard hours of work are 7.30am to 2.30pm, Monday to Friday. The postholder will be expected to work on all days that pupils are present (190 days). The postholder will be entitled to the equivalent of 22 days paid holiday, rising to 25 days after five years of service.
