Local Government Band 2 to midpoint
39 weeks per year (38 weeks' term time, 1 week non pupil days)
Working Pattern for this post 9.45am - 3.45pm Monday and Tuesday
This is an exciting opportunity to join St. Helena School in Colchester.
We are recruiting a Food technology Technician to provide full technical support to teaching staff and students, particularly in the preparation and cleaning/clearing of lesson materials/equipment
We're looking for you if you have:
- Successful experience of working with children in a school environment
- Good knowledge of appropriate procedures, regulations and guidance, e.g. health & safety and food hygiene.
- Ability to use kitchen and relevant cleaning equipment
- Good numeracy and literacy skills
Some of the key responsibilities are:
- Assist in the maintenance of supplies for the Department
- Keep resources in an organised and accessible manner
- Assist teaching staff in the preparation of resources for lessons
- Clear classrooms/work areas after lessons, undertake washing up, cleaning of work surfaces, return of resources to appropriate storage etc - as required
