We require a highly effective and experienced learning support assistant to support a pupil with complex and challenging needs in our Nursery
The successful candidate will work afternoons during term time only.
Candidates will need to have had experience working with children with complex needs and have:

Calm and measured responses, giving clear verbal and non verbal signals. Knowledge of sign language would be beneficial but not essential.

Keyworker skills including relationship development and able to set clear boundaries and expectations for learning and behaviour.

An understanding of how emotional triggers prompt behaviour responses and how to reduce the impact of these.

The ability to provide support to the class teacher through feedback about pupil engagement and behaviour.

A secure understanding of safeguarding issues and how to implement risk assessments for pupils and follow a consistent management plan.
Visits to the school are strongly encouraged.
