St Michael's remains a C of E Ofsted Outstanding school (Nov 2022). We are a friendly, welcoming, professional team with the children's well-being and learning at the heart of all we do. We strive to live and learn by our four core values which complement our Christian foundation:

· Love

· Integrity

· Creativity

· Resilience

Any successful applicant will need to live out these values in their day to day work.

We require an enthusiastic Lead Midday Assistant and another Midday Assistant who can help with the provision of our school meal service by: setting up for lunch service, overseeing the children in the Hall, maintaining a sense of calm, working as part of a team in co-ordinating the movement between tables and the kitchen, helping the younger children to learn to cut their food up as required, engaging with them as they play in our extensive grounds. The Lead MDA would have overall responsibility for the whole MDA team.

Essential Requirements:

· Enthusiastic

· Professional

· Good sense of humour

As this is a practical role, rather than a formal interview, a shaddow shift would be preferable for us to assess the suitability of potential candidates. If you are interested, please contact the school office (admin@st-michaelscofe.essex.sch.uk) leaving a contact number and someone will be in touch.

Work pattern would be 11:45 - 1:15 each day of the school week, totalling 7.5 hours per week of the school year.

Information about the School

At St Michael’s C of E Primary School, we recognise the vital role that we have to help shape the lives of the children we are privileged to work with. Following Jesus’ example, we put the children at the heart of all we do, knowing that they are our future. Through both explicit and implicit teaching and modelling of our school vision and by living it out in practice through our four Christian Values of Love, Integrity, Creativity and Resilience” we aim to create a community within our school and beyond, which is principled and start these children off on a journey in which they will always know that Christ will be with them.

We aim to inspire children to do their best in all aspects of their lives and celebrate all their successes. Andrew Cumpstey Head Teacher

All appointments are subject to safer recruitment requirements to ensure the safeguarding of children and young people. All positions will involve appropriate checks and clearances.
