The Christus Catholic Trust are seeking to appoint:
PUPIL SUPPORT OFFICER
Salary - Band 4 - Point 12 - 20 (CCT Thurrock Academies Pay Scale). Salary Range: £19,330 - £23,625 (this will be pro-rata so the actual range is £14,368 - £17,560)
30 hours per week (8.30am to 3.30pm)- 47.8 weeks per year. Permanent contract
Start date: 31st January 2022
Location: St Thomas of Canterbury Catholic Primary, Grays, Essex
This is a great opportunity for an individual who is able to provide an effective and efficient administrative support to the Academy.
The primary responsibilities and requirements for this role are:To create and maintain a purposeful, orderly and supportive working environment
Co-ordinate processes and procedures in all aspects of the administration of the school
To ensure quality assurance within the team
Design, develop and implement processes and administrative procedures that work effectively and meet all deadlines
To undertake general reception, telephone duties and manage the admin e-mail account to ensure all e mails are dealt with
To provide administrative and clerical support
To be First Aid trained (or be willing to be trained) to cover the medical room for 1 hour per day and as needed at other times
To deal with all aspects of pupil admissions for the school including new starters, leaversand changing the class lists in the summer holidays
Maintenance of the student database, assessment recording, provision of analytical/statistical data to staff, parents and outside agencies
To prepare and submit CENSUS returns to the DFE and other returns as required
The successful candidate should be:
· willing to work collaboratively with others and work autonomously
· able to have a can do and flexible attitude
· professional and reliable
· able to work calmly under pressure
· experienced working in a primary school environment (desirable)
· willing to recognise the Catholic ethos of the academy

St Thomas of Canterbury Catholic Primary is located in Ward Avenue Grays Essex, and is part of a Multi Academy Trust (The Christus Catholic Trust), which currently consists of 5 primary schools. Catering for around 630 pupils, St Thomas of Canterbury Catholic Primary School in Grays, Essex, is the largest primary school in the Diocese of Brentwood.
