Local Government Band 4 to midpoint (point 26-30)
Actual salary at point 26 £20,277
Term time plus one week (39 working weeks)
In this role you will be providing a complementary service to teachers and other staff, addressing the needs of children who require assistance in overcoming barriers to learning in order to achieve their full potential, or accessing the curriculum.
An example of your key responsibilities will be:
- Working with a range of students, giving priority to those who need the most help, especially those students at risk of exclusion from the mainstream school setting and/or experiencing multiple disadvantages.
- Supporting students to complete work set and help them focus in a structured, calm environment to facilitate a successful return to normal lessons and to encourage a learning experience which provides learners with the opportunity to achieve their potential.
- Contributing to the provision and organisation of mentoring programmes to support progress and attainment.
- Dealing with day to day pastoral issues as they arise.
