Pastoral Support Worker

Salary: Band 3, Points 17 to 21 (Pro-rata salary £13,664 - £14,989 including outer fringe)

Hours: 30 hours per week (Monday to Friday)

Permanent Role - 45.6 weeks per year contract

Maple Grove Primary School is looking to recruit an energetic and highly motivated Pastoral Support Worker to provide support in matters of educational engagement, family liaison and social and emotional aspects of learning. A major part of the role will be to ensure high attendance levels are maintained.

Duties will include liaison with parents/carers, pupils, and staff.

The successful candidate will need to:

· Be educated to a minimum of NVQ Level 3

· Be educated to a minimum of GCSE C in Maths and English

· Have a good working knowledge of policies relating to Child Protection

· Be a strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills able to effectively engage with parents/carers and pupils.

· Have the ability to intervene with behaviour issues

· Promote the school in a positive manner at all times and share in the corporate responsibility for the well-being and safeguarding of all

pupils.
