Position: Parent and Family Worker-1 Year Contract
Employment Type: Part Time (47 weeks per year)
Hours: 24 per week(Flexibility will be required)
Salary: Band 3.Point 25 (Pro rata)
Actual Salary: £13,958
Required for September 2012

We are looking for someone with:
• Experience of direct work with children, young people, parents and carers
• Knowledge of children and young people’s development and of child protection and safeguarding policies and procedures.
• Knowledge of integrated processes and an understanding of support available to children and their families including parenting support.
• Good communication skills and the ability to engage positively with children, young people and their families and professionals
• Good organisational, administrative and time management skills including record keeping and computer literacy, as well as ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• A professional and fully confidential approach, combined with a positive outlook when dealing with some challenging and difficult circumstances for children and families.
