Elmstead Primary School are looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic and caring SEN Learning Support Assistant to support a child 1:1 for 23¾ hours per week, initially for two terms.
The ideal candidate will:
- be able to support the child by following programmes devised by the school
- liaise with the class teacher and SENCO and keep detailed records of the child's achievements
- use their own initiative to support the child in making the best possible progress
- be highly positive and supportive
- be able to remain calm and flexible, be caring, have patience, and have a sense of humour
You must have the experience of supporting children with special educational needs; English and Maths GCSE at Grade C. Have experience of working on a differentiated curriculum suited to an individual child's specific needs.
