We are looking to appoint an aspirational leader who will develop and lead on our journey to outstanding teaching and learning. The successful candidate will provide leadership, development and management of Classics across the Trust schools. The successful candidate will also take a lead role in the monitoring and evaluation of standards across the whole school and actively promote effective teaching and learning practices across the Trust schools.

Information about the School

Burnt Mill Co-operative Academy Trust is a Co-operative Trust of seven schools – Burnt Mill Secondary Academy, Forest Hall School, Magna Carta Primary Academy, Freshwaters Primary Academy, Roydon Primary Academy, Cooks Spinney Primary Academy and Little Parndon Primary Academy.

Five of the schools are located in the Harlow area. Forest Hall School and Magna Carta are located in Stansted Mountfitchet, a village in northwest Essex near the Hertfordshire border and two miles from Stansted Airport.

In September 2016 the Department for Education approved the opening of the Sir Frederick Gibberd College, a new secondary school with an intake of 240 Year 7 students in September 2018. Sir Frederick Gibberd College will utilise the benefits available to free school by offering 250 Sixth Form places from 2020.
