We would like to appoint a confident and creative, proactive thinker to lead our new breakfast and after school provision; delivering a varied programme of activities for the children. We would ideally like one person to have overall responsibility however we would consider splitting the role.
The hours would be Mon- Fri (Term time only)
7:00am - 9am
3:00pm - 6.00pm
Responsibilities:
- Ensuring the health, safety and wellbeing of all children
- Planning and setting up activities for children to optionally take part in.
- Directing staff throughout a range of activities and motivating and supporting other members of your team.
- Meet and greet parents and provide them with feedback on their child's time at the club.
- Administer First Aid, following the correct procedures and record injuries.
- Keep records for children of contact details and medical information.
- To advise the Headteacher of any concerns e.g. over children, parents or safety of equipment.
- To be confidential with any information regarding the children, their families or other staff which is learned as part of the role.
- Commitment to integrate and maintain the whole school ethos within the club setting.
- Have responsibility for the planning and shopping for food and resources for both Breakfast and After School Clubs.
- Maintain daily registers of attendance, issue invoices and record payments from parents.
- Prepare and complete all paperwork necessary for the smooth running of the club.
- Be active in promoting the club to children and parents.
- Having fun in a safe environment!
Level 2 or 3 Qualifications in play work or childcare are required. Paediatric first aid qualification is desirable andbe willing to undertake further training essential.

Information about the School
Barnes Farm Infant School is a school for 4 -7 year old children in Chelmsford, Essex. We have a wonderful team of staff, active and informed governors and supportive families who all help the children to be safe and happy and to make exceptional progress. It is our aim to make sure that all members of our school community are supported and feel included and valued.
The children are divided into classes according to age. Children will progress through the National Curriculum on an individual basis with appropriate individual educational plans being provided for children with special educational needs and for gifted and talented pupils.
