SEN Learning Support Assistant

Band 2 to Midpoint

Required: November 2015

Fixed Term: Until August 2016

Hours: 15 hours per week initially

We are seeking to appoint 2 experienced SEN Teaching Assistants to join our enthusiastic and dedicated team. These positions are initially for a fixed term contract of one year with the potential to become a permanent contract after this time. You will be required to work with pupils with special educational needs ranging from mild to more complex needs. You will be required to work within a classroom environment as well as working with small groups or individuals.

Candidates ideally should hold a NVQ Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification and hold at least an A - C pass in GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent)

We are a friendly, supportive Church School with high expectations of achievement for our whole learning community.

The Headteacher would welcome all applicants who have a strong desire to motivate, inspire and maximise the achievement of all pupils.

The successful candidate will:

Have experience of providing one to one support to SEN pupils

Have some knowledge of ICT to support learning

Have high expectation of behaviour and achievement

Be able to work effectively as part of a team

Be dedicated, passionate about learning and very well organised
