We seek to appoint a talented and highly motivated practitioner from April 2015 with responsibility for Special Educational Needs across the school. Ideally qualified with the SENCo Qualification or willing to undertake this.
We are looking for someone who can deliver high quality lessons, demonstrating consistently good or outstanding teaching where children of all ability achieve well. The post would suit someone with a passion for teaching and who is keen to develop confident and enthusiastic children as well as remove barriers to learning. Applications will be particularly welcomed from applicants with experience of Reading Recovery/Ecar. The SENCo is a member of the Inclusion Team working closely with the Deputy Headteacher to achieve good outcomes for all our pupils.
You will:
Have the confidence, skills and abilities to lead and manage SEND provision through the school
Be an experienced class teacher who can demonstrate a record of success in raising children's attainment.
Be able to work in a creative and inspirational way, demonstrating a record of consistently delivering good/outstanding lessons.
Be able to inspire, challenge and motivate all children to achieve.
Promote and celebrate the talents and skills of all pupils
Have a commitment to working strategically as part of a team to improve standards of teaching and learning.
