Learning Support Assistant
Fixed Term - Maternity Cover
30 hours per week - 43.7 weeks (term time + 1 week Inset days + annual leave)
07:55am - 2:10 pm daily
£10,921 per annum (£8.33 per hour)
We are looking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant on a fixed term basis to cover a period of maternity leave. The role is to provide assistance in the support and inclusion of children with special education needs in the classroom and school-wide activities.
The successful candidate will have:
- Successful experience working with children in a school environment
- Educated to Level 2 (GCSE) or equivalent qualification /experience
- Ability to establish rapport and to maintain respectful and trusting relationships
- The ability to overcome barriers to learning with children by implementing school policies, procedures and identified support mechanisms
- Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and meet deadlines
- A good understanding of Health and Safety, safeguarding and child protection
- A commitment to equality and diversity and inclusion
In addition, applicants who have a specialism in autistic spectrum, behaviour management and meeting the personal needs of individuals should highlight their experience in the application.
