You will have good academic credentials and be able to support learners from foundation level to adult access students. Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop an effective relationship with parents in order to share information, alleviate anxiety and develop positive solutions to ensure young people's needs are met.
  • To deliver Education, Health and Care Plan annual reviews for a cohort of learners and ensure paperwork is returned in a timely manner to take the lead for both pre-course interviews and enrolment for students with Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND).
  • To monitor the provision of support and guidance for your students experiencing learning difficulties and disabilities
  • Produce and maintain individual learning plans for students to liaise actively with teachers to promote to identify and meet the learning needs of students.
  • To support the ALS management function in the absence of the ALS manager on campus. LSA duties to provide individualised learning support in the classroom and support centre for students with additional support needs.
  • To work closely with the Teachers and ALS Manager to ensure that the support provided is appropriate and effective.
  • To assist in the implementation of a range of systems, processes and procedures relating to learning support.
  • Reviewing and monitoring quality processes to ensure service level agreements are met, quality standards are maintained, and customer satisfaction is excellent.
  • Work with others to promote a positive attitude to wellbeing within the college.
  • Support College events to promote the Wellbeing service.


Job Requirements:

  • Qualified to GCSE level 4 or equivalent in Maths and English.
  • Good standard of general education.
