Teacher of Engineering (suitable for ECTs)

The role
This is a fantastic opportunity for a creative and talented practitioner to join our science and engineering department. Engineering is a popular choice at KS4 with eight groups currently running across years 10 and 11. The KS4 curriculum has the space available to accommodate creative input and a focus on interests. The successful candidate will be an outstanding practitioner or if new to the profession, will have the potential to be so, with the ability to inspire the next generation of engineers.
We are ambitious for the continued development of engineering provision here at Shenfield High School potentially beyond KS4 and want to recruit colleagues with the knowledge and skills to support this. As well as applicants who can solely teach engineering, we are also interested to hear from applicants who can combine engineering with science and/ or maths.

Shenfield High School is a standalone 11-18 Academy with a comprehensive ethos and a commitment to high academic standards supported by a significant investment in pastoral care and wellbeing.
The school is conveniently located close to Shenfield mainline station on the line into London Liverpool Street and home to the eastern terminus of the new cross rail Elizabeth Line. The school's location attracts outer fringe London allowance.
