Chapel Hill has exciting opportunities for individuals who are new to early years, and who wish to undertake a Level 2 apprenticeship. Working with children aged from 3 months to 4 years as part of the nursery team, you will provide safe, high-quality education and care for babies and young children. Duties will include acting as a keyworker for a small group of children, providing exceptional care, liaising closely with parents/carers and ensuring each child's needs are recognised and met, teaching children, offering an appropriate level of support and stimulation, helping to set up and tidy away at the end of the session, attending meetings and training courses as appropriate, and undertaking any other reasonable duties as directed by the room lead.
As the 'sister' school of Lee Chapel, one of Basildon's 'Outstanding' Primary and Nursery Schools, Chapel Hill Nursery staff will provide high quality care and early education. We are looking for caring, dedicated and enthusiastic applicants, who have a passion for working with babies and children and would like to join our new nursery for our September 2024 opening.
You will have a structured learning programme including both 'on the job' and 'off the job' activities, designed to cover everything you need to learn. Your tutor will meet with you regularly to guide you through your learning and this will be complemented by support from us. You will build a portfolio of evidence which will include work you have completed, professional discussion records and observations by your tutor, and you will have plenty of opportunity to put into practice the new skills you are learning. Your progress will be reviewed regularly and you will be involved in this process.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a new nursery, in a role with real variety from day one whilst working towards a qualification. The successful candidate must have excellent people and communication skills and be flexible to adapt to changing situations.
When applying, please clearly state which position you are interested in.
Please note: applicants must not have already completed a Level 2 Early Years Practitioner apprenticeship.
