About the role: We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic English Teacher to join our English Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging and effective English lessons to our Further Education students. The post-holder will be expected to contribute to the team's planning of a strong and vibrant curriculum which enables students to improve on their GCSE and English results from school.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver high-quality English lessons that cater to diverse learning needs.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where students are motivated to excel.
Implement innovative teaching methods to enhance students' reading, writing, and critical thinking skills.
Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely feedback and support to ensure their academic success.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop and share best practices for effective teaching and learning.
Participate in departmental meetings, workshops, and professional development activities to stay updated with the latest educational trends.
Requirements:

Ideally a bachelor's degree in English or a related field.
Ideally have a level 4 Teaching qualification with experience in teaching English at the Further Education level. However, a teaching qualification is not essential, as the college will support you in obtaining a teaching, or assessing qualification where appropriate.
Passion for teaching and a genuine interest in the success and well-being of students.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
Ability to create a supportive and stimulating learning environment.
Commitment to continuous professional development.
