St John's is a co-educational Independent School for pupils aged between 2 and 16 years. We are proud of our educational provision and offer you the opportunity to join our successful school.

We are looking for a keen and experienced full-time teacher of Science to join a small, supportive department at our friendly school. The ideal candidate will have experience of teaching Physics to pupil in KS3 and KS4. The post would involve teaching Physics in mixed ability/set groups to include teaching the Double Award and separate science GCSEs. We are pleased to offer small classes of pupils with very supportive parents.

The successful candidate must:

• Beapositive role model for our pupils.
• Have excellentcommunicationskills with the ability to motivate pupils.
• Bean excellent classroom practitioner who is able to engage and inspirepupils in KS3 and KS4 to achieve success.
• Be an experienced and qualified teacher with an excellent subject knowledge, holding QTS and a relevant undergraduate degree.
• Be committed practitioner who wants to attain the highest standards in teaching and learning and who expects excellence from students.
• Be an enthusiastic, collaborative and motivated individual who will teach the subject though a variety of innovative approaches.
• Be a strong team player who forms excellent relationships with staff, parents and students.
• Have Strong IT skills and an interest in developing the use of ICT to enhance teaching and learning.
• Be willing to become a form tutor to a group of pupils in the Senior School.
