The role
This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and talented practitioner to join our geography department and enthuse the next generation of geographers. It has never been more important that our young people enter society able to make sense of the world and their place in it; able to contribute to the big debates facing humanity and to have an understanding about different cultures, beliefs, and customs. At Shenfield High School geography is a popular subject at GCSE and at A level. The successful candidate will be an outstanding practitioner or if new to the profession, will have the potential to be so, with the ability to inspire young people in the study and mastery of the geography curriculum.
We are ambitious for the continued development of geography provision here at Shenfield High School and want to recruit colleagues with talent and passion that they can communicate to the students across all phases.
Our School
Shenfield High School is a standalone 11-18 Academy with a comprehensive ethos and a commitment to high academic standards supported by a significant investment in pastoral care and wellbeing.
The school is conveniently located close to Shenfield mainline station on the line into London Liverpool Street and home to the eastern terminus of the new cross rail Elizabeth Line. The school's location attracts outer fringe London allowance.
