Vacancy - CASUAL CLEANER

Howbridge C of E Junior School are looking to appoint a cleaner on a casual (zero hours contract). The successful applicant with be paid at Scale 2. Point 3

The general hour of work will be Monday to Friday 6.30am till 9am then 3pm till 6pm (AS AND WHEN REQUIRED)

We are a 3-form entry Church of England junior school based in Witham, Essex.

This is a unique opportunity for the right person to join our friendly and hard-working school. Candidates should be sympathetic to the Christian ethos of our school.

The main purpose of this position is to assist the cleaner lead with cleaning duties in and around the school.

Applicants must be enthusiastic, positive and able to work on their own initiative, as well as follow direction from other members of the staff team.

The ideal candidate should have:

Strong inter-personal skills and be able to work well in a team
· Basic reading skills

· Ability to count

· Ability to use general cleaning products

· Ability to complete basic forms

· Ability to exchange routine verbal information clearly

· Understand the role of others working in and around the school

· Ability to work effectively with a range of adults

· Know when, how and with whom to share information

Good organisational skills
