PAXMAN ACADEMY
TEACHER OF SCIENCE
Pay Range: Teachers Main/Upper Pay Scale
Actual Salary from: £30,000 - £46,525 (M1 - U3)
+ Potential for additional responsibilities for the right candidate
Start Date: September 2024
The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an outstanding and inspirational teacher of Science to join a vibrant team with a keen passion for pedagogy. The position will equally suit an experienced or newly qualified teacher.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Be fully qualified to teach through the secondary range for Key Stages 3 & 4
- Demonstrate an enthusiasm for the subject which will inspire student progress
- Demonstrate a capacity to adapt their teaching to engage students in learning
- Experience of IT and a willingness to use it to plan and teach lessons
We're looking for you if you have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (Suitable for ECTs)
- An ability to teach lessons that challenge all students
- A passion for teaching and making a real difference to young people
- A commitment to safeguarding and child protection.

Information about the School
Paxman Academy opened in September 2019 and admitted 180 Year 7 students in the first year.
